№ 01 — WHO BUILDS THIS

The person.

Adam Shawa — independent software engineer in Dresden, Germany. I build systems for regulated work: tax filings, ledgers, legal information — places where a wrong number is not a bug report but an assessment, and where every figure has to answer for itself.

The path explains the obsession. I started in information management and data analysis, then took a master’s in environmental and resource management with a specialization in climate modeling — a field where every result exists to be questioned, where uncertainty is quantified rather than hidden, and where a model’s authority ends exactly where its assumptions do. When AI made software cheap to write, that discipline turned out to be the scarce part.

The through-line: the model reads, the code counts, and you keep receipts. Refusal is a feature. I read regulations natively — in English, German and Arabic — and compile them into systems that can defend their own output.

№ 02 — THE PATH

How I got here

Before

Information management & data analysis — the years of learning that data nobody trusts is data nobody uses.

2024

MSc, environmental and resource management — specialization in climate-change modeling. Uncertainty as a first-class quantity.

2025

Data science, then the first production AI agent — designed, integrated into a company’s workflow, and owned in production.

2026

Regulated systems: founded RiyalPlus, built a cloud ledger platform beside it, and shipped a grounded legal-information platform under contract.

№ 03 — RECEIPTS, NOT ADJECTIVES

What that looks like

Ten engines, one boundary

Ten filing engines behind one wizard — and a computation core with no import path to a model client.

A ledger that refuses

Every posted entry balances by database constraint. Corrections are reversals, never edits — and no float ever touches money.

Citations that can’t lie

A legal assistant where an invented reference renders inert — and the service never judges the user.
